Community Guidelines
Last Updated: November 01, 2025
The FaithFlow community exists to encourage learning, spiritual growth, reflection, and respectful discussion about faith and Scripture. To keep our environment welcoming, supportive, and safe for everyone, please follow these guidelines.
Core Principle: Treat others the way you would want to be treated. We're all here to grow in faith together.
1. Be Respectful and Kind
The FaithFlow community brings together people from diverse backgrounds, denominations, and levels of biblical knowledge. We expect all members to:
- Treat others with kindness and respect - Remember that behind every username is a real person on their own spiritual journey
- Welcome newcomers - Everyone was a beginner once. Be patient and encouraging with those just starting their faith journey
- Disagree respectfully - Theological discussions are welcome, but maintain a respectful tone even when you disagree
- Avoid personal attacks - Focus on ideas, not individuals. Ad hominem attacks, insults, and name-calling are not tolerated
- Be humble - No one has all the answers. Approach discussions with humility and willingness to learn
2. No Harassment or Hate Speech
FaithFlow has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or hate speech. This includes but is not limited to:
- Harassment based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
- Threats, intimidation, or violent language
- Sexualized content or unwelcome sexual attention
- Doxxing (sharing someone's personal information without consent)
- Sustained disruption of discussions or deliberate attempts to derail conversations
- Mocking or belittling someone's faith, doubts, or questions
Immediate action: Violations will result in content removal and may lead to account suspension or permanent ban.
3. Stay On Topic
FaithFlow is dedicated to Bible study, spiritual growth, and faith discussions. Please:
- Keep content relevant - Focus on topics related to faith, Scripture, spiritual growth, prayer, and related subjects
- Use appropriate channels - Post in the right sections (e.g., prayer requests in prayer sections, Bible questions in study areas)
- Avoid off-topic discussions - While some friendly conversation is fine, avoid extended off-topic threads
- Respect the learning environment - Remember that many users are here to learn and grow. Keep the focus on edification
What doesn't belong: Political debates, commercial promotions, unrelated personal stories, or content that doesn't contribute to spiritual growth.
4. No Spam or Self-Promotion
To maintain a quality experience for all users:
- No advertisements - Do not promote products, services, or businesses
- No solicitations - Do not ask for money, donations, or financial support (except through official FaithFlow channels if applicable)
- No repetitive posts - Avoid posting the same content multiple times
- No link spam - Do not post links solely for traffic generation or SEO purposes
- No pyramid schemes or MLM - Multi-level marketing and similar schemes are strictly prohibited
Exceptions: Sharing relevant devotional content, Bible study resources, or worship music is acceptable if it genuinely adds value to the conversation and is not done for commercial gain.
5. Protect Privacy
Respect your own privacy and the privacy of others:
- Don't share personal information - Avoid posting your full name, address, phone number, email, or other sensitive information in public spaces
- Don't share others' information - Never post someone else's personal information without their explicit consent
- Be cautious with prayer requests - When sharing prayer requests, avoid including identifying details about others without permission
- Use private messages wisely - If you need to share personal information, use direct messages rather than public posts
- Protect children's privacy - Never post identifying information, photos, or details about minors
6. Respect Intellectual Property
When sharing content:
- Credit sources - Always attribute quotes, teachings, or content to their original authors
- Respect copyright - Don't post entire copyrighted articles, books, or lengthy excerpts. Short quotes with attribution are acceptable
- Biblical translations - When quoting Scripture, cite the translation used (e.g., NIV, ESV, KJV)
- Your own content - By posting content to FaithFlow, you grant us a license to display and share it within the app (see our Terms of Service)
7. Content Ownership and Licensing
Understanding content rights:
- You retain ownership - You own the content you post (notes, prayers, comments, reflections)
- You grant FaithFlow a license - By posting, you grant Digital Nexus Creations LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your content within the app
- You can delete your content - You may delete your own posts at any time through the app
- We may remove content - We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines
8. Appropriate Content Standards
All content posted to FaithFlow must be:
- Family-friendly - Appropriate for users of all ages (13+)
- Free of profanity - Avoid vulgar, obscene, or explicit language
- Non-violent - Do not post graphic violence or disturbing content
- Theologically respectful - While different perspectives are welcome, avoid content that mocks or degrades faith
- Truthful - Do not post false information, conspiracy theories, or deliberately misleading content
